Mondi Packaging Wheatley is to become the group flexo printing following an expansion of the site and the creation of 30 new jobs.
The Scunthorpe site has been expanded by 2,500m² and a new 2,600m² warehouse has been taken into operation, leading to the creation of the new positions.

Amcor Flexibles is to cut around half the workforce at its Ilkeston site after Allied Bakeries moved a £30m bread bag-making contract to Bpi.consumer VMB.
Consultations with staff and unions over 75 job losses at the flexibles site, which currently employs around 140 workers, began this week after the bakery decided to move the contract.

Rio Tinto is selling Alcan Food Packaging Americas to US flexible packaging supplier Bemis for $1.2bn.
Alcan Food Packaging Americas consists of 23 flexible packaging plants across the continent and New Zealand serving the food and drink industries and generating $1.5bn in net sales in 2008, some 23% of Alcan Packaging’s total revenue.
